Puffins Preschool is open for 38 weeks of the year (term time only).
The preschool is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday. However, we offer an early morning drop-off between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and a late pick-up between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
It is a non-profit, charity-run setting, with the money going back into the Preschool to purchase and develop new resources for the children and to continue our commitment to promoting equality and providing the community with an accessible preschool.
Children must attend a minimum of 2 sessions (9.00-13.00 = 1 session). If your child receives early years funding, there will be a voluntary charge of £3.00 per day for consumables and a snack charge of £5.00 per term.

Government funding is intended to cover the cost of delivering 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high-quality, early education. It is not intended to cover the cost of snacks, consumables, additional hours, or additional services.
Puffins Preschool charges for snacks as part of a Government Funding entitlement place and also charges for consumables, for example, wipes, sun cream, trips – this is not an exhaustive list.
Children from 9 months - two years (those that are eligible) and every three to under five years old are entitled to Early Education Funded sessions. They will receive 15 hours of funded childcare per week or 30 hours if they are eligible.
Early Education Funding (EEF) is available from the term beginning after a child’s 3rd birthday.
Payment of fees will be invoiced at the beginning of each term. You may pay by cash, directly into the bank account or we are registered with tax-free childcare as an alternative way to pay part of your fees.
